and why none of my friends want to talk about it.

‘sucks’: a collective ennui for those dating in New York City.

It took asking three separate girlfriends for an interview on ‘Dating in New York City’ and three semi-rejections later to realize this topic is a lot harder to address than I even realized.

One politely declined and the other two agreed but caveat— off camera! I respectfully understood, but it spurred this train of thought— is this topic too taboo for women to talk about publicly? Is there a massive fear of judgment we face for expressing our truths? What are we actually scared of?
